Hook and Ladder Pastrami Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Thinly slices turkey pastrami from the deli
  • 1 Yellow onion
  • 1 of each Red and green bell peppers
  • 10 slices Pepper jack cheese
  • 5 Sandwich rolls

Method

Step 1

Saute the onion and bell peppers in a large skillet(cast iron is our favorite at the station).

Step 2

After a couple of minutes, add the turkey pastrami. Continue cooking on the stove top until tender.

Step 3

On a cookie sheet, lay the rolls, open faced. Then, put the meat/onion/bell pepper mixture on one side of each roll. Cover with a couple of thin sliced pepper jack cheese and put under the broiler for a couple of minutes.

Step 4

We like it with deli mustard or BBQ sauce. Easy, fast, and cheap- just the way we like it.
