Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups Italian bread crumbs
- 1 ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp garlic salt
- 1 package of Mozzarella cheese sticks or block of mozzarella cut into sticks
- Vegetable oil
- Marinara Sauce(I like to use Classico Four Cheese)
Method
Step 1
Your gonna need two bowls.
Step 2
In the first bowl, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and garlic salt. In the other bowl, beat the four eggs and add the milk.
Step 3
Take each of your mozzarella sticks and dip them in the egg mixture.
Step 4
Roll them in the bread crumb mixture until the outside is coated.
Step 5
Your now gonna want to do this a second time.
Step 6
Once each of the sticks is properly coated, place them on a plate and stick them in the fridge for approx 30 minutes. This will help the coating to firm up and stick once you begin to fry them.
Step 7
After they have been properly chilled, heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan. You’ll want it to be about ½ deep and heated at a medium high temp.
Step 8
Once the oil is hot enough, add the sticks to the hot oil. Fry them until the coating is a golden brown. You may need to turn them to make sure they are frying evenly.
Step 9
Remove the sticks and place them on a paper towel to cool.
Step 10
Serve them with the warmed up Marinara Sauce. Who doesn’t love cheese? Especially fried cheese!!!
