Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients

  • 8 oz package of cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 small jar Marmalade
  • 16 oz loaf French Bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • Powdered sugar

Method

Step 1

In a bowl, you’ll need to prepare your cream cheese filling. Mix together the cream cheese (let is soften a little on the counter before starting the recipe), 1 tsp vanilla and jar of Marmalade. It will be totally mixed when it is nice and creamy

Step 2

Next, take your French bread and slice into ½ inch slices.

Step 3

Spread your filling over a slice of the bread and then place another slice on top. This will look like a cream cheese sandwich when you are done.

Step 4

In a new bowl, beat your 4 eggs together with your whipping cream, vanilla and nutmeg.

Step 5

Using a pair of tongs, dip the little French toast sandwich in the egg mixture, coating the sandwich completely.

Step 6

Cook the French toast in a frying pan over medium heat. Make sure that you flip it and cook both sides. It will be done, when each side is golden brown.

Step 7

Place on a plate and sprinkle powdered sugar over the top.

Step 8

Serve with your favorite maple syrup and butter.
